Description
Our Practice:
We are a family run practice with 10 associate doctors. Established in 1910, we have served our community for over 115 years and our plan is to continue the journey on to the 4th generation with Dr. Hannah Stack leading our team. As a recent graduate from The Ohio State University, she brings a new wave of ideas that help us remain dedicated to our gold standard care that our clients and patients have come to know. We are committed to the AAHA Standards of Care as we have been an AAHA Accredited Hospital for the past 69 years, and recently were selected as a finalist for the AAHA Hospital of The Year. We also adhere to the standards set by Feline Friendly Certification, and Fear Free Practices. Our staff includes a Board-Certified Surgeon and we have set days each week for Boarded Specialists including a Radiologist, Cardiologist and Internal Medicine Specialist, to see appointments and referrals at our hospital. Recently we have expanded our hospital and now are proud to offer a separate facility that focuses entirely on Feline Wellness and Specialty Out Patient Services. We also have a separate area devoted to Physical Rehabilitation for our patients which will soon be offering underwater treadmill therapy. After-hour emergencies are directed to either the local emergency hospital or Cornell University Hospital for Pets.
Our thoughts on hiring a new associate doctor:
We seek an associate doctor who is committed to practicing high quality medicine and considers themselves a lifetime learner. We are always looking to expand the spectrum of care that we offer to our patients, if you have a specific clinical interest we would be excited to help you explore it. New graduates are encouraged to apply as are seasoned veterans of the profession, we are a team that is willing to teach new team members as well as learn from their experiences.
Our Focus:
Make no mistake, there is an abundance of outstanding veterinary practices out there searching for new associates; and most have all the bells and whistles needed to fulfill the physical makeup of a great practice. However, we feel it is the culture of the team that should be the greatest priority in running a successful veterinary practice. Compassion, mentorship, teamwork, well-being, continuing education, and support are just a few of our Core values.
As you look back and remember your dream of becoming a veterinarian, take a moment to think about what it took to get here. We feel that joining our team will help you live that dream and make a real difference in the lives of your patients and the owner's who love them. To put it in better context the poet Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote: "To know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived, that is to have succeeded"
