Description
Thrive San Antonio is looking for an experienced ER DVM (3-5 years).Our new Veterinarian will contribute to:
- A collaborative, respectful team where all ships rise.
- Building & maintaining a caseload and long-term referral relationships.

- Willingness to be involved in internship programs, training, and mentoring ER Academy interns.
- We are the second ER facility to obtain Fear Free certification in the country!

OUR HOSPITAL:
Thrive San Antonio is a 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital with a 30-year history in the community. The hospital is equipped with complete blood work capabilities, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, CT, MRI, hemoperfusion, ventilator, and linear accelerator. We currently have specialty services including critical care, internal medicine, neurology, surgery and radiation oncology with diagnostic imaging starting in Fall of 2026. We have an established staff with low turnover in our DVM population. Our teams enjoy mentorship with new graduates and have provided an emergency veterinary internship for over 10 years
RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking motivated Dr.’s who want to be in a high-quality medical environment. Mentorship is an important component that we offer at Thrive San Antonio.
We are looking for Dr’s that:
- Build relationships with colleagues, clients, and support staff to ensure a compassionate and collaborative work environment.
- Motivated to foster a learning environment for colleagues, support staff, veterinary students visiting the hospital, and emergency critical care interns.
- Triage and facilitate treatment plans for emergency patients.
- Continue care of specialty patients who are hospitalized overnight and on weekends.
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
- Provide clear and complete communication to clients and support staff.
- Communicate with referral partners (verbally and with referral letters)
- Maintain a positive and supportive work culture.
- Support the hospital's Fear-Free culture and commitment.
