Cleveland Clinic is seeking a distinguished physician leader to serve as Enterprise Breast Center Director, a newly created role dedicated to advancing patient-centered breast care across the entire Cleveland Clinic health system. As the Breast Center evolves as an enterprise-wide program, the Director will play a central role in shaping its organizational structure, clinical model, and long-term strategic priorities across the health system.
This enterprise-wide leadership position reports directly to the Chief of Staff Office, with dotted-line reporting to the Institute Chiefs within the Clinical Institutes that closely collaborate with the Breast Center, including the Integrated Surgery Institute, Cancer Institute, Diagnostic Institute, Primary Care Institute, and the Obstetrics & Gynecologic Institute. The primary office location will be Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus in Cleveland, Ohio. However, the Enterprise Breast Center Director will provide enterprise-wide leadership and strategic direction for breast care services across all Cleveland Clinic locations, including hospitals in Ohio, Florida, Abu Dhabi, and London (future).
Position Overview
The Cleveland Clinic Breast Center is a nationally recognized referral center offering comprehensive breast service services that include screening, diagnosis, and treatment of benign breast diseases. This role will have a sharp focus on elevating and expanding our current screening and diagnostic programs and ensuring seamless transitions from our diagnostic teams to the care of our highly integrated breast cancer care program. The Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer program holds Full Accreditation from the American College of Surgeons’ National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) and operates through a highly integrated, multidisciplinary care model. Our breast cancer care team includes breast surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, psychologists and plastic surgeons working collaboratively to deliver highly individualized, coordinated care.
In 2025, Cleveland Clinic’s Ohio and Florida locations collectively cared for more than 19,000 patients with breast disease, reflecting the scale, complexity, and enterprise-wide reach of the Breast Center program.
As the enterprise program continues to evolve, the Enterprise Breast Center Director will have ultimate responsibility for defining and advancing the Center’s vision, including clinical, educational, and research strategy, while ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and national leadership in breast health. The role includes a faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with experience at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic vision and leadership for breast care services across the Cleveland Clinic enterprise
- Provide strategic influence in the development and evolution of the Enterprise Breast Center’s structure, governance, and multidisciplinary clinical model, in partnership with institute and enterprise leadership.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered, and evidence-based care at all sites
- Advance clinical integration and collaboration among multiple clinical institutes
- Align clinical programs, education, research initiatives, and fiscal performance within the Breast Center
- Strengthen Cleveland Clinic’s national and international reputation as a leader in breast care
Qualifications
- Physician with clinical training and expertise in a breast-related specialty, such as Medical Breast, Surgical Oncology, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Breast Imaging, or Primary Care with a focus on breast screening and prevention
- Board certified in the applicant’s respective specialty
- Demonstrated ability to influence, and align multidisciplinary teams through strategic vision, credibility, and strong emotional intelligence
- Well-established leader in their field
- Eligible for Ohio medical licensure and able to meet hospital credentialing requirements

Please note that the salary range provided reflects the broad scope of this role and may vary based on physician specialty and other relevant qualifications. A successful candidate’s compensation will be determined in accordance with fair market value and will reflect factors such as experience, clinical expertise, board certification, and work history. The stated range excludes the value of Cleveland Clinic’s comprehensive benefits package, which includes healthcare, dental, vision, retirement, and other offerings.
