The Center of Hope Reno is seeking a compassionate, motivated Gynecologic Oncologist to join our established, comprehensive gynecologic cancer program. Our respected, high-volume practice delivers integrated cancer care that includes advanced surgical services, chemotherapy, research trials, and both complex cytoreductive and minimally invasive procedures. We offer the full spectrum of gynecologic oncology services and are committed to academic excellence, clinical innovation, and exceptional patient care. What You'll Do:
- Perform history and physical examinations, consultations, colposcopic examinations, and other office-based examinations and treatments on patients.
- Provide full-scope gynecologic cancer care, including chemotherapy and surgery care.
- Provide post-op care and/or routine follow-up examination.
- Work in a group practice setting, offering minimally invasive and robotic surgery.
- Collaborate with a board-certified advanced nurse practitioner.
- Participate in clinical trials.
- Provide required documentation in the office medical record to support level of service for proper billing.
- Complete office billing indicating appropriate level of service, procedure (if any) and diagnosis.
- Provide coverage for emergency problems to maintain continuity of patient care.
- Perform surgery as indicated.
- Manage adjuvant inpatient and outpatient therapies for patients as needed.
- Perform inpatient coverage, rounding, consultations, and care for assigned patients as scheduled.
- Participate in Performance Improvement activities concerning gynecologic oncology patients.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversees patients referred to her/him for care in addition to Residents, Medical Students and other Student Groups seeking education in a clinic environment. Coordinates care and services through patients’ primary care physicians or referring specialists.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an Accredited School of Medicine
- Completion of Residency in Accredited Obstetric/Gynecological Residency Program
- Completion of a Fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology
- Licensure and registration as a physician in New York State
Schedule
- 2 Clinics | 2 Operating | 1 Admin Day
- On-call every 3rd weekend
