Mammography Technologist (PRN - Days May Vary)Baylor Scott & White Health - Round Rock Cancer Center
About the Role
Join the dedicated Breast Imaging team at Baylor Scott & White Round Rock Cancer Center, where compassion and advanced technology come together to make a difference. As a PRN Mammography Technologist, you'll perform screening and diagnostic mammography, breast imaging, and biopsy procedures that support early detection and improve patient outcomes.
This position offers flexible day shifts in a collaborative and patient-centered cancer center environment.
What You'll Do
- Perform high-quality 2D and 3D mammography and diagnostic breast imaging procedures following established protocols and standards.
- Use AIDET communication principles to provide excellent patient interaction and reduce anxiety during exams.
- Assist radiologists with stereotactic biopsies, ultrasound-guided biopsies, and needle localizations.
- Maintain equipment performance, cleanliness, and compliance with radiation safety and infection-control guidelines.
- Complete accurate documentation, imaging records, and quality control reports within the imaging system.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and technologists to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.

- Proficiency in mammography positioning, 3D digital breast tomosynthesis, and biopsy assistance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure quality, accuracy, and safety
- Able to work independently while supporting a team-based imaging environment

Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Experience: Two (2) years of mammography or breast imaging experience preferred
- License/Certification:
- Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) - Licensed by the Texas Medical Board
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R and ARRT-M) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (or within 30 days of hire)
