Health New Zealand are looking for Medical Oncologists who are passionate about delivering quality care to our patients and working across a multi-disciplinary team. We have a collaborative and supportive healthcare system that has an integrated and cross-disciplinary way of working. Our oncology team works closely with surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, and nurses to achieve the best outcomes for our patients.
To work as a Senior Medical Officer in New Zealand, you must become registered to practice with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Practitioners need to meet competency standards and hold Annual Practising Certificates (APCs) to work safely and effectively. Salary and benefits
Medical Oncologists receive 6 weeks of annual leave and 12 paid public holidays, giving you time to explore our beautiful country and raise a family in our diverse communities. Along with your base salary as a Medical Oncologist you will have ongoing professional development and will work alongside a multi-disciplinary and supportive team.
- Medical Officers' annual salaries range from $80K USD - $119K USD ($142K NZD - $210K NZD), plus allowances
- Medical Specialists' annual salaries range from $104.8K USD - $151.3K USD ($185K NZD - $267K NZD), plus allowances
