University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center
The University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center (UNMCCC) at the UNM School of Medicine invite applications from physicians or physician/scientists with training and expertise in hematology or medical oncology with experience and expertise in hematologic malignancies, in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, and innovative cell-based or targeted immunotherapies. This is an Open Rank, Open Track position. Faculty rank and appointment will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments. The successful applicant will have fellowship training and strong interest in the development of clinical trials or translational research in Hematologic Malignancies and Cellular Therapy. Emphasis is placed on the ability to foster interactions between laboratory and clinical investigators, participate in multidisciplinary research teams, and participate in the teaching mission of the Division and the Cancer Center. Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- MD or MD/PhD degree or equivalent with board certification in Internal Medicine
- Board certification/eligibility in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology
- Experience in cancer clinical trials and/or translational laboratory research with a focused interest in hematologic malignancies
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cancer clinical trial design and conduct
- Expertise in Hematopoietic Stem Cell transplantation and CAR T cell therapy
- Experience in the development of novel therapeutic pathways, compounds or treatment modalities
- Experience in resident/fellow education
- Experience in clinical and translational research
