Description
Mercyhealth System in Janesville, Wisconsin, is currently seeking a Full-Time Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Palliative Care Physician to join our collaborative inpatient care team serving Southern Wisconsin.Join a compassionate, fully integrated care program within an award-winning healthcare system and play a key role in advancing palliative care services focused on quality of life, symptom management, and patient-centered care.

Departmental Scope:
Join a collaborative interdisciplinary team, including:
- Palliative Care Physicians
- Advanced Practice Providers
- Palliative Care Nurses
- Social Workers
- Chaplain / Spiritual Care
- Case Management
- Practice within a hospital-based setting focused on:
- Inpatient palliative care consultations
- Symptom management and pain control
- Goals-of-care discussions with patients and families
- Advance care planning and end-of-life support
- Coordination of care across specialties
- Participation in interdisciplinary team meetings
Ideal candidate will:
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Take a compassionate, patient-centered approach
- Demonstrate interest in program growth and development
- Provide education to staff and support interdisciplinary collaboration
Qualifications:
- MD/DO Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Medicine preferred
- Eligible for Wisconsin medical licensure
- Strong commitment to high-quality, compassionate patient care
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team
Compensation & Benefits:
Mercyhealth offers a highly competitive initial salary guarantee along with a comprehensive benefits package:
- Salary Range: $240,000-$250,000
- Retention and/or sign-on bonus
