*Position: Patient Care Tech* *Location: Temple, TX - Baylor Scott and White Health* *Schedule: Full-time Days* *Opportunities available in: Med/Surg, Ortho, Neuro, Telemetry, Progressive Care, Observation, Emergency and Oncology.* *Job Summary* The Patient Care Technician handles various duties under a licensed nurse's supervision. Helps deliver patient care and meet family needs. Follows the care plan, considering the patient's age and development stage. [What can you expect to do as a Patient Care Tech?]() * Collects and records patient data, including vital signs. * Assists patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, and transferring. * Responds to call lights and conducts regular patient rounds. * Provides personal hygiene care and assists with patient clean-up. * Adheres to Baylor Scott & White policies and procedures. * Performs glucose monitoring and collects specimens as requested. * Will be required to directly support multiple patients during each shift. *What will make you successful as a PCT?* • *Compassion - *This is both a physically and emotionally demanding job. Diploma/GED Equivalent * EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience * CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - * Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
