Description
The General Surgery Residency Program at Howard University Hospital is seeking to fill a categorical PGY-4 position with a start date of June 22, 2026. All applicants must have successfully completed their PGY-1, PGY-2, and PGY-3 levels at an ACGME-approved surgery program by this start date.

The Howard University Surgical Residency Program places strong emphasis on clinical excellence, technical prowess (including laparoscopic/endoscopic/robotic training), innovative and progressive surgical education, and cutting-edge surgical research.
Our General Surgery Residency Program’s integrated and affiliated training sites include rotations in Surgical Oncology, Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Gastrointestinal, Colorectal, Hepatobiliary, Solid Organ Transplantation, Surgical Critical Care, Pediatric Surgery, General Surgery, Emergency General Surgery, and Trauma / Acute Care Surgery at the following sites: Howard University, Johns Hopkins University, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, University of Maryland, Children’s National, Adventist Hospitals, Luminis Health, and Doctors Community Hospital.
