- Unpredictable Daily Workload: The daily burden of tasks may be unpredictable based on workload.
- Lab Processing Training: Prior experience with lab processing is a plus but not required. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure proficiency in lab workflow .
Pay Range
$19.45 - $29.20
The Phlebotomist I is responsible for receiving orders for laboratory testing from the hospital computer system, collecting blood from patients of any age or status, and logging specimens into the laboratory computer system. This individual follows state, OSHA and other agency regulations. The Phlebotomist performs special procedures and assists the lab aide when necessary.
Education
1. High school diploma or GED from an accredited institute required
2. Completion of a phlebotomy program of study preferred
Experience
Prior experience as a Phlebotomist preferred
Licensure
Certification as a Phlebotomist from a nationally recognized institute preferred
