Mercy's radiation oncologists work closely with a top rated team of cancer doctors of The Institute for Cancer Care at Mercy to develop individualized, comprehensive treatment plans. The Mercy radiation oncology team addresses patients who are facing cancer with an extraordinary level of compassion, concern and respect. Radiation Oncology is part of the renowned Institute for Cancer Care at Mercy, which has been recognized by the American College of Surgeons and the Commission on Cancer as an approved cancer program with Full Accreditation. Within the Cancer Institute, Radiation Oncology currently treats 30–35 patients per day and continues to demonstrate steady growth. The Radiation Oncologists treat all types of cancer patients.
- Provide comprehensive radiation therapy in a setting where your expertise directly impacts patients and families in our community.
- Work alongside dedicated medical oncologists, surgeons, and support staff who value communication, respect, and teamwork.
- State of the Art new equipment, Varian TrueBeam approximately 1 year old allows for access to advanced treatment technology, including IMRT, IGRT, and SBRT, supported by experienced dosimetry and physics staff.
- Treat all types of tumor sites to include; breast, lung, prostate, gyn, colon
- Mercy has robust breast, gyn onc, interventional pulm, GI and GU programs
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology
- Experienced in the latest technology, including IGRT, SRS, SRBT, Brachytherapy and Intraoperative Radiation Therapy
- Willing to play an integral role in program growth
