Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join our oncology team. In this role, you will administer radiation treatments prescribed by a radiation oncologist, ensure accurate patient positioning, and operate advanced radiation therapy equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and committed to delivering high-quality cancer care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients according to physician orders.
- Position patients accurately using immobilization devices and imaging guidance.
- Operate radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators.
- Review treatment plans and verify treatment parameters prior to therapy delivery.
- Monitor patients during treatment and report any adverse reactions or concerns.
- Maintain accurate patient treatment records and documentation.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow all radiation safety procedures and regulatory guidelines.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding treatment procedures and potential side effects.
- Perform routine quality assurance and safety checks on radiation equipment.
- Perform CT and /or HDR simulations as directed by the Radiation Oncologist.
- Responsible for remaining current with scope of practice defined by your credentialing and professional licensing organizations and/ or adhere to the scope of practice defined in your job description.
- Other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy or a related field.
- Graduation from an accredited radiation therapy program.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy (RT(T)).
- State licensure as required.
- Current BLS certification preferred.
- Previous clinical experience in radiation oncology preferred but not required.

- Currently Elekta equipment with transition to TrueBeam in near future

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited radiation therapy program.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy (RT(T)).
- 0-2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist
Preferred Qualificiations:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy or a related field.
- State licensure as required.
