RHEUMATOLOGY
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Rheumatologist to join our expanding Rheumatology department at the Springer Building in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team and serve a diverse adult patient population. The department currently includes 5 physicians and 3 advanced practice providers (APPs), and we are looking to add one more provider to meet community needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient care for adult patients with a variety of rheumatologic conditions
- Manage a mix of conditions, including autoimmune diseases, musculoskeletal disorders, and inflammatory diseases
- Participate in hospital call rotation (1 in every 6 weekends) with weekend call relief during the week if covering weekends
- Utilize Dragon voice recognition with Epic for documentation
- Conduct joint injections and biopsies (muscle biopsies handled by Dr. John King, General Surgery)
- Collaborate with other specialists in the Springer building, including Endocrinology, ENT, Podiatry, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, and Urgent Care
Expectations for Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 4.5 days per week dedicated to seeing patients
- Call schedule: 1 in every 6 weekends
- Weekday/weeknight call is shared between 5 providers
Department Highlights:
- The department is equipped with Sonosite ultrasound and a microscope for diagnosis and treatment
- Infusions are performed at Saint Francis Hospital Yale or the SF Cancer Treatment Center
- The clinic offers a collaborative environment with access to a full range of specialists, including referrals for pain management needs
- Pediatric Rheumatology services are not offered locally, but pediatric patients (11 years and older) can be seen for consults in our clinic
- The department utilizes Dragon voice recognition with Epic for streamlined documentation
Qualifications:
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Rheumatology
- Open to new graduates
- Experience with adult rheumatology and musculoskeletal conditions preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
