We are seeking an experienced Senior Proton Therapy Medical Dosimetrist to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary radiation oncology team to deliver state-of-the-art proton therapy. Qualified candidates should be able to independently development, optimize, and ensure high quality pencil beam scanning proton treatment plans, collaborating closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and radiation therapists to ensure the highest standards of patient care. The ideal candidate should bring deep expertise in proton planning techniques, robust knowledge of clinical workflows and safety practices, and the judgment to mentor junior dosimetrists while contributing to protocol development, technology implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives. The candidate will join a proton dosimetry team of 6 medical dosimetrists and 2 medical dosimetry assistants as well as a team of 6 proton medical physicists. The center is comprised of a three-full gantry, PBS rooms (ProteusPlus unit) with ARIA OIS and treatment planning performed in RayStation (2023B).
Qualifications:
Degrees:
Bachelors degree is required.
Licenses & Certifications:
MDCB Certified Medical Dosimetrist.
Additional Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a physical science or RTT and a graduate of a formal, JRCERT dosimetry program.
A Masters is Science is preferred.
Direct dosimetry experience and a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) certification are required.
RTT experience from an accredited radiation therapy technology program is preferred.
Experience with multiple treatment planning platforms, excellent communication skills, and leadership skills is preferred.
Minimum Required Experience: 5 years
