- Veterinary Internist, Medical Oncologist
Description
We are looking for a board-certified internist and oncologist, or residency-trained individuals to join our team. We are a new 24/7 ER and multispecialty hospital in the Greater New Orleans area.
About us
We are a privately owned and veterinary led hospital opening in 2026. Our quickly growing list of services includes a full ER team, critical care, ophthalmology, cardiology, extracorporeal services (hemodialysis + apheresis-based therapies), and interventional radiology. We strive to offer the most advanced therapies and services to support our patients and we believe in instrumenting our care givers with whatever it takes to facilitate this goal. Likewise, it is our job to surround each specialist with a highly trained and efficient team such that they can simply focus on providing their skillset/expertise. Our goal in this team building, and many other approaches, is to make practicing enjoyable again. We all went into this field to help people and pets, and we want to help support you such that this is easy to achieve.
About the area
New Orleans needs little introduction as it is already famous for its music scene, rich culture and history, food and restaurants, and festivals (e.g. Jazz Fest, Mardi Gras, etc). What is not often appreciated by tourists is the small town feel New Orleans provides despite being a metropolitan center. While it is large enough to provide all of the big city amenities, we don't suffer from large city problems (e.g. traffic). Blue Dog Veterinary Specialists is located in a highly sought after and safe neighborhood of the Greater New Orleans metropolitan area (Old Metairie).
