Renown Health and University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) is hiring a Breast Surgical Oncologist.
Join our growing Renown Medical Group Department of Surgical Oncology team practicing in the region’s busiest and established full-service Cancer Center (William N. Pennington Cancer Institute) and a dedicated Breast Center (Conrad Breast Center) serving a catchment area of over 900,000.
The Conrad Breast Center offers complete breast health care in one convenient location. The center provides services from early detection to treatment and survivorship. Patients have access to mammograms, ultrasounds, breast MRI, risk assessment, genetic counseling, breast surgical and medical oncology, infusion therapy, pharmacy services, wellness programs and clinical research.
The successful candidate will have fellowship training in Breast Surgical Oncology. The candidate should expect to share call support for the division of Breast Surgical Oncology with our well-established breast surgical oncology team. The candidate will contribute to the overall strategy and growth of the department of surgery, attend quality meetings, represent the new Conrad Breast Center with integrity and pride, and contribute to the teaching of medical students and residents. The candidate must also qualify for an academic appointment in the Department of Surgery with the University of Nevada Reno Medical School and be an active participant in the breast tumor boards, breast accreditation, research, and overall function of the breast surgery clinic. A strong work ethic with a focus on quality and collegiality is mandatory.
The Breast Surgical Oncologist will provide Breast and soft tissue surgery, work to elevate our established breast cancer program, as well as evaluate new and emergent patient consultations. All of this in support of the Conrad Breast Center Mission.
As Joint Faculty, our physicians teach Residents and Medical Students for the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. Renown Regional is a state-of-the-art, 800 bed acute care facility with comprehensive and outpatient services and 24-hour emergency care.

Cancer Institute with highest level of accreditation located at Renown Regional facility offering dynamic Oncology Department, State of Art Radiation Oncology suite, Infusion Center and Oncology Clinic on site
Cancer Center also offers a dedicated Oncology floor and developing Oncology Hospitalist Service Team
