Position Snapshot Position Development Operations Specialist Reports To Development Manager & Community Partnerships and Engagement Manager Status Full-time, Exempt Location Wilton, Connecticut (office-based) Schedule Monday–Friday with occasional evenings and weekends Salary $60,000–$65,000, commensurate with experience Start Date Open until filled About Circle of Care Founded in 2003, Circle of Care provides practical, emotional, and financial support to families facing childhood cancer throughout Connecticut and neighboring regions. Working alongside pediatric oncology teams at regional children's hospitals, our programs help families navigate the many challenges that exist beyond medical treatment.
Each year, Circle of Care serves more than 275 families through emergency financial assistance, educational programs, peer support, family resources, room makeovers, and other services designed to ease the childhood cancer journey. Since our founding, we have provided more than $6 million in direct assistance to over 4,100 families.

Why This Role Matters The Development Operations Specialist is the operational backbone of Circle of Care's fundraising efforts.
As the owner of our fundraising technology ecosystem, you'll ensure our platforms, databases, reporting, and fundraising systems operate efficiently and accurately. Working closely with the Development Manager and Community Partnerships & Engagement Manager, you'll help transform data into action, streamline fundraising operations, and provide the technology support that allows our team to build stronger relationships with donors and community partners.
This is a newly created role with tremendous opportunity to improve processes, recommend innovations, and help shape the future of fundraising operations at Circle of Care.
Key Responsibilities Fundraising Technology & Platform Administration Serve as the operational expert for Bloomerang, GiveSmart, RunSignUp, volunteer management systems, and related fundraising tools.
Configure, maintain, and optimize fundraising campaigns, events, online giving pages, and peer-to-peer fundraising platforms.
Recommend and implement platform improvements, system integrations, and operational efficiencies.
Train and support staff in the effective use of fundraising technologies.
Database & Development Operations Maintain accurate donor and constituent records across fundraising systems.
Coordinate database administration with gift processing to ensure data integrity.
Develop, generate, and analyze fundraising reports.
Monitor system performance and improve workflows.
Peer-to-Peer Fundraising & Event Support Administer peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns.
Support participant registration, team creation, fundraising pages, onboarding communications, and automated email journeys.
Configure fundraising platforms for events and campaigns.
Assist with event logistics and on-site support.
Team Collaboration & Organizational Support Provide administrative and operational support to department managers.
Help establish efficient processes across the Development Department.
Collaborate with Marketing, Programs, Executive Leadership, and volunteers.

Requirements
Qualifications Required Three to five years of nonprofit experience focused on CRM management, fundraising operations, database administration, or development operations.
Strong technology aptitude with CRM and fundraising platforms.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based business systems.
Valid driver's license and ability to perform light physical work.
Preferred Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Experience with Bloomerang, GiveSmart, RunSignUp and other fundraising platforms
Experience creating reports and fundraising analytics.
Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising principles.
Experience supporting peer-to-peer fundraising or events.
