The Department of Radiation Oncology at Washington University School of Medicine (WUSM) is seeking a visionary and vibrant leader to serve as the Chief of Gynecologic Radiation Oncology and Brachytherapy. This is a pivotal leadership role with one of the nation’s premier NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers.

Our department is a global leader in advanced radiation therapy. As Chief, you will have access to over 20 treatment machines with technology designed for the most complex Gyn cases, including:
- The World’s First MRIdian (MRI-guided) Suite for real-time adaptive Gyn treatments.
- Varian Ethos with Hypersight for daily online adaptive radiotherapy.
- Dual Brachytherapy Procedure and Treatment Suites equipped for complex interstitial and MRI-guided applications.

Beyond clinical excellence, as Chief, you will oversee the Gyn Oncology educational curriculum for our top-ranked residency program and serve as the primary investigator or mentor for a robust portfolio of clinical trials. Qualifications
- Medical Degree: MD or MD/PhD with Board Certification in Radiation Oncology.
- Technical Mastery: Demonstrated expertise in advanced Gyn procedures, specifically interstitial and intracavitary HDR brachytherapy and MRI-guided planning. Experience with adaptive radiotherapy is highly preferred.
- Leadership Track Record: Proven ability to lead a multidisciplinary team or a significant desire and aptitude to move into a formal Gyn Chief role.
- Academic Productivity: A strong record of peer-reviewed publications and experience in clinical trial design and accrual. We are looking for a candidate who can maintain our department’s standing as a leader in NRG and industry-sponsored trials.
- Collaborative Spirit: In alignment with our departmental core values, the successful candidate must demonstrate a history of high integrity and positive collaboration with all multidisciplinary stakeholders.
