Qualifications:
- Must possess/be eligible for licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Graduate of a master’s-level Physician Assistant program or state-approved Nursing or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Two years of direct patient care experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner within a primary care or specialty care setting.
- Strong preference for experience in hematology/oncology and infusion.
- Must be able to engage in comprehensive diagnosis and management of complex hem-onc patients in all spectrums of cancer diagnosis and care, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive care.
- Complete comprehensive histories and physicals of hem-onc patients.
- Collaborate with supervising/attending physicians, consultants and members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Initiate orders and implement diagnostic and treatment plans, including intravenous fluids, medications and transfusions.
- Perform minor procedures, including bone marrow aspirations and biopsy.
