Red River Animal Emergency Hospital & Referral Center is a well-established VECCS level 2 certified facility with an exceptional reputation for having served the North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota communities for over 16 years. We are North Dakota's only 24/7 regional small animal emergency hospital who is 100% local veterinarian owned. Tucked in the beautiful Fargo-Moorhead valley we are proud of the integral role we play in our veterinary community and are excited to be expanding our current facility to add our two-story Specialty and Referral Center. Our state of the art facility has a large ICU, two surgery suites, extensive in-house lab, bedside oxygen, Snyder O2 unit, 16 slice CT, advanced ultrasound and echo services, GI endoscope, and much more. Our Criticalists also provide hemodialysis, plasmapheresis, and mechanical ventilator therapies. With the addition of our Specialty and Referral Center, we are looking to also add Boarded Specialists in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Dermatology, and Ophthalmology to better serve our clients and patients. Company History
Veterinary clinics in the Fargo-Moorhead area understood the importance of having a central location where clients could bring their pets, regardless of the time of day, to receive urgent medical care. Red River Animal Emergency Hospital and Referral Center opened in December of 2005 as an afterhours and weekend hospital. We opened with a small team of only 4 technicians and 3 doctors in a 3000 sqft facility. Over the years we have expanded our number of technicians and doctors and in 2018 we moved into our 12,000 sqft hospital, offering 24 hour emergency service. We now have 2 Board-Certified Criticalists, 11 experienced emergency veterinarians, 20 + technicians, another 30 + in assistants and customer service staff. As of August 2021, we have broken ground on our Specialty and Referral Center, which is due to be completed mid-2022. With this expansion we are looking to add more specialists in multiple fields allowing us to better serve our community and surrounding states.
