Pay Range
$28.55 - $42.85
JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, will provide oversight and coordination of the end-to-end contract approval processes, serving as liaison for contract submissions for academic/research. Will work with cross-functional teams to receive, submit, track status, follow up, and serve as the main point of contact between enterprise procurement groups and academic/research teams. Will coordinate multiple level ancillary reviews as required depending on contract type to navigate contracts through the review process, updating business owners on status and timelines and updating electronic sites accordingly. Will participate in documenting, proposing, and implementing process improvements. Additionally, may redline, negotiate and route for execution direct vendor agreements for academic/research which do not require additional review by legal, IT or privacy. Reports to Director of Research - Contracts, OSP.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The OSP
Takes primary responsibility for the organization, effectiveness, and completion of the tasks that drive contract approval. Coordinates the work of cross functional teammates throughout the organization to drive completion of clerical activities related to contract approval. Escalates roadblocks to manager in a timely manner. Prepares and presents regular progress reports on contract status to manager and relevant stakeholders. Represents academic/research and its contracts to all related enterprise stakeholders (such as supply chain, legal, IT), serving as the liaison, spokesperson, and representative. Negotiates research procurement agreements with vendors deemed to be low legal risk. Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.

Provides administrative support for research-related activities at the institution; ensures proposals are submitted in a timely manner; tracks approval process, follows up on grants/contracts signature and set up of awards; ensures efficient data management; and provides guidance on grant and contract parameters while being trained on the daily operations of OSP. Administratively supports a set of diverse and complex awards that include federal, non-federal and international funders. Works independently, anticipates and resolves problems; and updates supervisor on status of proposals and awards/grants. Uses independent judgment and problem-solving skills to ensure compliance with sponsor and donor regulations, School and University policies as well as departmental procedures.
