The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) seeks candidates for the position(s) of Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine. This is a full-time, on-site position for an academic psychiatrist with interest and enthusiasm for teaching residents and medical students and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Position Summary
Responsibilities include leading an interdisciplinary general psychiatry adult inpatient teach unit composed of residents, medical students, nursing, social workers, and support staff. The faculty member will also supervise psychiatry residents in outpatient pharmacology clinics built around education and patient care. Other duties will be tailored to the interests of the applicant and include opportunities in TMS, community outreach, college student mental health, psychiatry integration in primary care clinics, and forensic psychiatry.
Educational responsibilities include clinical and classroom teaching of residents and medical students. Faculty members are granted protected time to pursue their interests including clinical or educational program development and research. Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervision and teaching of general psychiatry residents and medical students
- Function as a University faculty member, performing such duties as are appropriate to academic rank and position
- Direct patient care
- Involvement in meeting ACGME and LCME training guidelines, requirements, and policies
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or DO graduate of an LCME/AACOM-accredited medical school
- Graduate of an ACGME-approved psychiatry residency
- Licensed or license-eligible in the state of Illinois
- ABPN board-certified or eligible in adult psychiatry
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in inpatient and outpatient psychiatry
- Experience in the administration of contribution to educational programs

The budgeted salary range for the position is $299,000 to $335,000 per year.
