Description
Monarch Dermatology & Surgery is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our independent, physician-led dermatology practice in Northern Colorado.
We are looking for a thoughtful, clinically strong provider who enjoys practicing high-quality dermatology, building long-term patient relationships, and working in a collaborative environment. Prior dermatology experience is strongly preferred, and we are particularly interested in a PA who is looking for a long-term practice home.
Monarch provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and pediatric dermatologic care, with particular expertise in skin cancer, cutaneous oncology, Mohs surgery, complex medical dermatology, and pediatric dermatology. Our advanced practice providers work closely with board-certified dermatologists and have direct physician access for challenging or complex cases.
Position Responsibilities
The PA will provide evaluation and management of a broad range of dermatologic conditions and will have the opportunity to develop a practice based on his or her experience and clinical interests.
Responsibilities may include:
Comprehensive skin examinations and skin cancer surveillance
Evaluation and treatment of common and complex dermatologic conditions
Evaluation and biopsy of suspicious skin lesions
Cryotherapy and other office-based dermatologic procedures
Medication management and treatment planning
Follow-up care for chronic dermatologic conditions
Patient education and counseling
Minor surgical procedures based on training and experience
Collaboration with physicians on complex medical, pediatric, oncologic, and surgical cases
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
Current NCCPA certification
Licensed or eligible for licensure in Colorado
Dermatology experience strongly preferred
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Comfortable practicing with appropriate autonomy while valuing physician collaboration
Excellent documentation, follow-up, and continuity-of-care skills
Professional, dependable, team-oriented, and committed to excellent patient care

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced dermatology PA who wants to practice independently while still having meaningful physician collaboration and access to complex dermatology.
Schedule
Full-time is preferred, although we are willing to discuss schedule structure with the right candidate.
Start Date
Flexible. We would ideally like our new provider to begin by late 2026 or early 2027, although an earlier start is welcomed.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive compensation based on dermatology experience, schedule, and productivity.
We offer a compensation structure designed to reward productivity while providing appropriate support during onboarding and practice development. Benefits will be discussed based on schedule and employment structure.

Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
Current NCCPA certification
Current Colorado Physician Assistant license or eligibility to obtain Colorado licensure
Prior dermatology experience strongly preferred
Experience performing comprehensive skin examinations, evaluating skin lesions, and managing common dermatologic conditions preferred
Experience with shave and punch biopsies, cryotherapy, and other routine dermatologic procedures preferred
Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based, high-quality patient care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to practice with appropriate autonomy while collaborating closely with supervising physicians and the clinical team
Strong documentation, follow-up, and organizational skills
