Description
Salary Range: Assistant Professor: $320,000-$500,000 per year; Associate Professor: $420,000-$550,000 per year; Professor: $450,000-$600,000 per year
The University of Chicago’s Department of Radiation and Cellular Oncology seeks full-time faculty members at any rank. The appointees will provide radiation oncology services at our main campus in Hyde Park and/or off-site network sites. Ideal candidates will have interest and demonstrated successes in conducting clinical trials that explore novel radiation-based therapies. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois and the State of Indiana, 3) be Board certified or eligible in radiation oncology, and 4) have completed an ACGME-accredited residency or equivalent in radiation oncology.
We especially welcome applicants who have formerly served as an attending radiation oncologist in an academic institution, as well as those who have experience participating in clinical trials. This position offers significant opportunities for translational research and clinical trials.
