This is an Open Rank, Open Track faculty position that reports to the IR Division Chief and Department Chair.
The successful candidate will become a member of the Department of Radiology, Division of Interventional Radiology, and will provide primary procedural, diagnostic and consultative service at multiple locations including UNM Hospital/Children’s Hospital and community affiliate Sandoval Regional Medical Center. The candidate will participate in face-to-face clinical consultations, clinical evaluations, tumor boards, and multidisciplinary conferences. Our full-spectrum IR services include interventional oncology with Y90, TACE, RFA, microwave, and cryoablation, procedures, dialysis work, trauma embolization, spine/pain therapies, and treatments of adult and pediatric vascular malformations.
All faculty are responsible for teaching and overseeing learners, including our diagnostic radiology residents, two interventional radiology residents, and medical students in the dedicated IR clerkship. Most daily clinical assignments will involve direct resident supervision. IR faculty may be assigned to diagnostic radiology services in their area(s) of comfort/expertise (typically, 2-3 days/month). All faculty contribute to resident didactic education and are encouraged to engage in clinical research or other scholarly activities. Research opportunities include diverse and growing translational imaging and image processing facilities and are supported by dedicated research staff.

Minimum Requirements for this position are as follows:
MD, DO, or equivalent
Eligible to work in the U.S.
Able to obtain state licensure in the state of New Mexico by date of hire
American Board of Radiology (ABR) IR/DR board certified or board eligible in IR/DR by contract start date
Completed fellowship or residency in Interventional Radiology by contract start date
