The University of California Irvine Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery (in conjunction with the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center) is seeking a fellowship-trained head and neck oncologic surgeon to join our expanding department as an HS Assistant Professor of Clinical Otolaryngology. Step will be determined based on training and experience.
Requirements
Applicants should be board-certified or board-eligible in otolaryngology and be eligible to apply for a California medical license. We are currently a department of fifteen clinical faculty and four audiologists, with four full-time faculty in the division of head & neck oncologic surgery. We have full range of radiation oncology, medical oncology, and rehabilitation services as part of the only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center in Orange County, California. The successful candidate will have fellowship training in head & neck surgical oncology. Ablative roles include thyroid / parathyroid, upper aerodigestive tract malignancies, TORS, advanced cutaneous malignancies and salivary gland surgery. Training in microvascular surgery and sialendoscopy is preferred but not required. Faculty are expected to actively participate in the overall mission of the department, which includes providing excellent patient care, teaching residents and students, performing university and public service, and demonstrating professional competency and scholarly activity.
