About the Cancer and Blood Disorders Institute (CBDI)
The CBDI is a dynamic, multidisciplinary institute comprising the Divisions of Hematology, Oncology, and Blood and Marrow Transplantation. Our team includes:
- 26 faculty members, including four basic science researchers
- Pediatric hematologist/oncologists, BMT specialists, and transfusion medicine experts
- Advanced practice providers and research scientists
- Integrated clinical, translational, and basic research programs
- ACGME Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship
- Blood and Marrow Transplant Fellowship – 1 year
- Neuro-Oncology Fellowship – 1 year
The BMT Division provides comprehensive care for children and young adults with malignant and non-malignant hematologic and immunologic disorders. The program delivers both autologous and allogeneic transplants, with particular expertise in haploidentical transplantation, gene therapy, and CAR T-cell therapy—positioning JHACH as a leader in cellular and gene-based therapeutics in the southeastern United States.
Position Summary
This individual will join a growing team of transplant physicians and allied professionals in a division poised for substantial expansion in both clinical and research domains. The successful candidate is eligible for a faculty appointment with the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and will have opportunities to collaborate across departments and campuses within the broader Johns Hopkins system.
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board-certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
- Fellowship and/or post-training experience in Blood and Marrow Transplantation, with a commitment to clinical excellence in an academic setting
- Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Florida
