Description
Providence Medical Group in Everett is looking for a Surgical physician assistant to join its General Surgery team. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic team player who is comfortable working with multiple physicians in an inpatient and outpatient setting. Being flexible to change, having a willingness to learn and excellent interpersonal, communication and critical thinking skills are also highly desired. Position Details:
- First assist includes breast surgery, hernia surgery, cholecystectomy, colorectal surgery, foregut surgery, surgical oncology including minimally invasive/laparoscopic and robotic surgery, and more
- Perform patient histories and physical exams in the clinic and hospital setting: new patients (soft tissue lesions, benign breast, anorectal diseases, pilonidal disease), follow ups, post-ops, consults
- Handle patient rounds, daily documentation including discharge summaries, admission/discharge/inpatient orders, inpatient/outpatient education
- Order and interpret appropriate medications and diagnostic tests such as routine laboratory, ultrasound, CT scans, etc.
- Monitor and manage patient's course of treatment and make appropriate referrals as needed
- Perform in office procedures that include minor procedures (soft tissue excision, I&D's), anorectal exams
- Monday to Friday schedule
Compensation & Benefits:
- Compensation is between $158,601 and $197,240 per year
The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position. In addition, providers may have CME benefits available to them.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Physician Assistant licensed in the State of Washington
- Experience in a surgical setting
