Radiation Oncologist | Per Diem | 1-2 Week Assignments Available
Northern Light A.R. Gould Hospital seeks a per diem, BE/BC radiation oncologist to join our busy cancer care practice in Presque Isle, Maine. The successful candidate would be supporting an established, single-practitioner Radiation Oncology clinic that prioritizes safety and service to patients and families through valuable partnerships with multidisciplinary teams.
In this hospital-employed position, enjoy flexible scheduling options while working closely with medical oncologists, surgeons, interventional radiologists, physicists, medical dosimetrists, and a full team of ancillary support to deliver care.
Position Highlights:
- 1- to 2-week schedule opportunities; 6- to 12-weeks needed per year
- True Beam linear accelerator, installed in 2025, is a Vision RT utilized for Motion management and Ray Station for treatment planning. We provide IMRT, SBRT, SRS, and IGRT. Xofigo treatments.
- Approx. 18 – 20 patients on treatment; Approx. 5 SIMS per week
- Hybrid physics support; Remote dosimetry support
- Oncology nurse navigation services and 24/7 Hospitalist team for support
Compensation Information:
- $304.09 hourly rate.
- The compensation range listed reflects the range Northern Light Health anticipates relying on in setting the wages for the position. The range may not necessarily include all additional compensation elements available, including but not limited to call pay, leadership stipends, etc.
