Veterinary Emergency + Referral Center of Hawaii is an advanced 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital serving Honolulu and the surrounding islands. VERC brings together experienced emergency clinicians and specialists across critical care, internal medicine, neurology, surgery, oncology, radiology, and more.

VERC is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities, including MRI, 128 slice CT, fluoroscopy, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, and a full-service in-house laboratory.

In Your Day to Day, You Will
• Provide medical and interventional cardiology care, including diagnosis and management of complex cardiac cases
• Perform and interpret echocardiograms, thoracic radiographs, ECGs, and Holter and telemetry monitoring
• Participate in on call coverage for ER echocardiograms and catheterization procedures as needed
• Collaborate with overnight ER and ICU teams to support inpatient cardiac care
• Access ongoing mentorship and training opportunities, including cath lab experience across the Ethos network
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations
• Contribute to a positive, team focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning
What You Bring
• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure
• Board Certification in Cardiology or residency training in Cardiology
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client centered approach
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care
• A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing specialty medicine
• Motivation and energy to contribute to a growing specialty service and multidisciplinary hospital environment
