Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists - NASA Parkway is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Criticalist to help develop and grow Critical Care services at our newly opened, state-of-the-art hospital in Webster, Texas. This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in the continued growth of a hospital that is already fully operational, with a busy 24/7 Emergency service, established specialty services, and a growing referral base.
At NASA Parkway, you'll do more than practice-you'll grow, collaborate, and help shape what's possible in veterinary medicine. You'll work in an environment where advanced medicine, mentorship, and teamwork come together to deliver an exceptional experience for both patients and clinicians. Our 20,000+ square-foot hospital features a state-of-the-art ICU capable of caring for more than 30 patients, two surgical suites, a dedicated ultrasound and fluoroscopy suite, 64-slice CT, advanced monitoring capabilities, high-flow oxygen, and comprehensive diagnostic support. The hospital's growing specialty team includes Internal Medicine and Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation, with additional specialty services continuing to expand.
As part of the broader GCVS network, NASA Parkway also benefits from close collaboration with the established GCVS hospital in Houston. This provides an additional layer of clinical support, with access to experienced specialists and services across the GCVS network, including Critical Care, Anesthesia, Diagnostic Imaging, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, and more. The two GCVS locations collaborate to help patients receive the appropriate level of emergency and specialty care across the network.

In your day-to-day, you will:
Help develop and grow Critical Care services at NASA Parkway while managing a diverse and challenging caseload.
• Provide advanced care for critically ill and unstable patients supported by a dedicated ICU capable of caring for more than 30 patients.
• Work closely with the 24/7 Emergency team and existing specialists in Internal Medicine and Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• Utilize advanced diagnostics and monitoring, including 64-slice CT, advanced ultrasound, fluoroscopy, digital radiography, and high-flow oxygen.
• Collaborate with specialists at NASA Parkway and the broader GCVS Houston hospital to support complex cases and expand clinical capabilities.
• Develop treatment plans for critically ill patients and communicate clearly with referring veterinarians and pet owners.
• Help identify opportunities to expand Critical Care capabilities, protocols, and clinical services as the hospital continues to grow.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
What You Bring
DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
• Board Certification in Critical Care or Residency Trained in Critical Care.
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
• An interest in developing services and contributing to the growth of a specialty hospital.
• A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing specialty medicine.
