Veterinary Medical Oncologist
$250K Base Salary + Production + Sign-On Bonus + Benets Package
You trained extensively to practice high-level oncology, and you believe in gold-standard chemotherapy protocols. You value evidence-based data, but perhaps you also believe cancer care can evolve.
Our specialty referral team is seeking a board-certied or residency-trained oncologist. This role will join our established departments of surgery (two surgeons), neurology, cardiology, anesthesiology, oncology, internal medicine, ophthalmology (coming soon) and 24/7 emergency care.
Who We Are
Veterinary Healthcare Associates is a privately owned, locally rooted, 24/7 emergency and referral specialty center with a stand-alone general practice in one of the nation's fastest-growing counties. We have served the community for over 30 years under our community-native owner.
Our 10-acre campus in Winter Haven, Florida, includes:
- 20,000 sq ft Multi-Specialty & 24/7 ER Hospital
- Dedicated oncology suite with two infusion rooms and chemo hood Internal medicine suite with ultrasound and video endoscopy
- Neurology suite with a 1.5-Tesla MRI (GE Signa)
- Surgical center with four suites with minimally invasive capabilities I-131 suite, uoroscopy, laparoscopy, arthroscopy
- 64-slice CT (Canon Aquilion) advanced imaging
- Rehab center with underwater treadmill and Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber (Sechrist) 10,000 sq ft stand-alone General Practice
Our Oncology Philosophy & Service
We believe integrative therapies can be useful in optimizing conventional chemotherapy protocols and provide longer survival times and increased quality of life. We have the facility, equipment, and team, but what sets us apart is our desire to do better. At VHA, we are bending the arc of veterinary medicine and think outside of the box to help our cancer patients and families.
Our integrative oncology model:
- Evidence-based conventional medical oncology foundation
- Cancer genomic testing (Vidium, Fidocure, Imprimed) and targeted therapies
- Natural compounds and metabolic therapeutics
- Advanced nutrition strategies, including ketogenic diets and fasting protocols
- High dose IV Vitamin C, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, mistletoe, and metabolic adjuncts
You will have:
Dedicated, chemotherapy-trained technician support
Established safety and chemotherapy handling protocols Internal referral support from GP and Specialty Services
Growing external referral relationships across Central Florida Flexible scheduling structure
